Ron Sandoval's creative talents are inspired by his passion for paying attention to the small details and artful beauty of nature, little structures and odd mediums. His childhood dreams of floating fantasies like lilies in a fountain are recreated in his work as an artist, landscape and floral designer, where his imagination and depth of vision are suspended in his works.
His breakout was his LACMA installation in 1990, where his recycled use of rose stems as a crucifix, sphere and box, caught the attention of LA's top elite and catapulted him onto the Hollywood scene where his pioneering work influenced the floral design industry internationally. Glimpses of his work and design studio Fleurish, are still seen today. Fleurish was his acclaimed LA store front on Beverly Blvd, which attracted regular clients such as Quincy Jones and Yves Saint Laurent.
The fashion designer Judy Knapp gave Sandoval in 1991 one of his first breaks at her home previously owned by Vidal Sassoon. Sandoval was more than prepared, he spent sunny afternoons in East LA in his aunts garden where collecting green inch worms and grasshoppers as pets and discovering plant life, potted the "dirt" to build the bed of his success.
In the 21st Century, Sandoval iLandscape Designer. His work has always been sustainable, where his low maintenance designs attract a new era of eco consciousness and busy Hollywood style. Available by appointment, his work is available for corporate, residential, private and art installations.
